What is digital education and its limitations for the implementation to the underpreveliged students

 


Importance of digital education:

Digital education has been set up advanced standards, owing to the difficulties faced by the direct education, because of the infrastructure. As the technology advances the traditional way of learning has been finding less attraction, as the projection towards the digital education is hypothetically advanced. Digital education could be still developed as the need and awareness about the same is fairly increasing. The Digital education lies in the comfortness at the accommodated location, which shall provide a pleasant atmosphere for a better improvement in learning and understanding. 

Digital education enhances the learning interest, as the features are much more when compared to the direct education. This will provides multiple facilities as the options and the value added courses provided by the institute are promising. Further the time structure are available multiple slots, which allows the students to engage in alternate activities or even a part time job. Digital education has been designed for multiple courses, that even Degrees, PG education or even Ph.D programmes are now available online. 

Barriers faced by Slum children:

The important barriers that are being faced by the slum children are the accessibility of the IT devices like PC, Android Phones or Smart Phones, Tablets. Further the basic communication in understanding the courses at the preliminary level is finding difficult due to the difference in fluency level. 

Slum students are not having basic exposure to the advanced technology, so the understanding level needs to be developed by designing an orientation program to address the preliminary gap of exposure. On bridging the gap, the interest of the students could be further stimulated which would result in knowledge enrichment. They could have various options in selecting a program based on the interest as most courses are customized comparatively to the limitations in the direct education. 

Gadgetshaala is an initiative which to be appreciated towards empowering nation by providing equal education to all by addressing the technology barriers that is been a bottle neck for the underprivileged. A difference could be made by renting out or selling the the gadgets on EMI’s basics may empower learning along with earning.
