Brahmos - II

India’s Brahmos-II missile or Brahmosmark- II is termed as the world’s fastest Hypersonic cruise missile. Hypersonic missiles are generally have a speed 5 to 25 times speed of the sound.

Brahmos is an Hypersonic cruise missile developed under joint venture of India’s Defence Research and Development Organization and Russia’s NPO Mashinostriyenia which together formed the Brahmos aerospace private limited. The expected range of Brahmos-II is 1000 km and the speed is to be 8 mach.

During the cruise stage of flight the missile will be propelled by a scream jet air breathing jet engine. But the other details like it’s manufacturing cost ,etc would be released later after its launch. The planned operational range of this hypersonic cruise missile is 200 km because Russia is signatory to missile technology Control Regim (MTCR), which prohibits it from helping other countries from helping the other countries to develop missiles above the range of 300 km.

The speed of Brahmos -II will be double the speed of Brahmos -1 which was previous missile from India. And also the most amazing thing is that it’s the world’s fastest cruise missile.

This missile is manufactured by the Brahmos aerospace limited. This missile was planned to test in 2029 but was delayed as we know why. The launching platform for this missile would be ship, submarines, aircrafts and land based mobile launchers.

Fourth generation multi purpose Russian naval destroyer is likely to be equipped with Brahmos -II hypersonic cruise missile.

Brahmos aerospace in the honour of the people’s president called in India, Sir Abdul Kalam,named this missile as Brahmos -II (K).

India is reaching at its height of new possibilities, with this ner hypersonic cruise missile we all are sure that India will rise as next superpower of the world. We definitely have the potential to do anything. As we are the youngest population in the world this Dream of becoming a superpower will be a responsibility of our youth.
